Biography

is an Associate Professor in the Ìý²¹³ÙÌý . He joined Rutgers in 2014 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2020.

He received B.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from   in 2002, an M.S. in  Ìý´Ú°ù´Ç³¾Ìý  in 2005 and a PhD in  Ìý´Ú°ù´Ç³¾  in 2008. From 2008-2011 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the at and from 2011-2013 he was a Research Assistant Professor at the , a philanthropically endowed academic computer science institute located on the campus.

His interests are in information theory, machine learning, and signal processing, with applications to distributed systems, privacy and security, and biomedical research.

For ITSOC, he has been the Online Editor of the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Information Theory Society (which has since changed into the Digital Presence Committee) and a member of the Board of Governors (2021-2026) He was named an Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Information Theory Society Distinguished Lecturer for 2024-2025.
