Tenure Track Faculty Positions
The ECE Department at Rutgers is hiring for two openings for positions starting Fall 2021.

The in the at seeks to fill two openings in Fall 2021 for full-time, academic year, tenure-track faculty appointments. It is anticipated that these openings will be at the Assistant Professor level, but exceptional midcareer candidates will also be given consideration.

Hiring areas for this search are: (i) autonomous systems and robotics, including but not limited to networked control systems, learning and control in autonomous systems such as vehicles or drones as well as in assistive technologies, and human-robot interaction; (ii) information, networks, security and privacy, including learning, mobile networking, and edge cloud computing.

Excellent facilities are available for collaborative research opportunities with local industry through the School’s nationally recognized centers such as the , the Micro-nanofabrication and Characterization Facility, and the . There also exist collaboration opportunities at and with clinicians at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences ( RBHS ).

A Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field is required. All new members of the School of Engineering faculty are expected to develop a research program and obtain external funding to support it. Candidates will work in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment and must be willing to engage in existing and future large collaborative research endeavors. A commitment to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels is expected. Demonstrated ability in written and oral use of the English language is required. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to diversity.
