This memorial conference will commemorate our distinguished colleague, so far the only female recipient of the Claude E. Shannon Award; to be held at the Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics, Budapest, Hungary, July 3 to July 6. The main focus of the conference will be subjects on which Katalin Marton's work had a lasting influence: Information theory, primarily multiuser coding theorems, study via information theoretic tools of fields in probability theory, primarily measure concentration, and in graph theory. The conference will consist of invited talks and contributed talks. Researchers planning to give a contributed talk should send a title and short (maximum one page) abstract to the address [email protected] not later than March 31, 2024.
